Blog Makanan di <b>Selangor</b>: bak kut teh, <b>makanan tradisional</b> - Blog <b>...</b> Posted: 14 May 2014 11:35 PM PDT Selama ini perjalanan kami ke Malaysia selalu didominasi oleh penelusuran tentang seluk beluk kehidupan metropolitan di Kuala Lumpur. Tanpa sengaja, ternyata Anda sudah sering keluar masuk "negeri" lain, yaitu Selangor. Namun kita tetap merasa masih di KL saja dan jarang mengingat Selangor. Padahal Selangor memiliki unsur-unsur kepariwisataan sendiri yang tidak kalah menarik dengan ibu kota negara itu. Bedanya, bila KL dikenal sebagai kota perdagangan, maka Selangor memposisikan diri sebagai kota industri. Termasuk industri kerajinan tangan (kraf) yang tetap dipertahankan untuk melestarikan tradisi lokal sekaligus memperkaya warna kepariwisataan di negeri ini. Bila boleh diumpamakan, hubungan Selangor dengan Kuala Lumpur adalah ibarat Deli Serdang yang mengelilingi Kota Medan. Secara guyon, orang Selangor mengatakan bahwa Kuala Lumpur hanyalah kota yang menumpang di Selangor. Memang, Bandara KLIA, distrik pemerintahan pusat yang baru Putrajaya dan sirkuit internasional Sepang semuanya berada di wilayah Selangor. Bahkan untuk mendapatkan izin Sultan Selangor, pembangunan Putrajaya telah dilakukan dengan satu syarat, bahwa pemerintah serikat bersedia membangun satu istana sultan di jantung kota itu. Dari tanggal 2-4 September 2013 lalu, kami diundang oleh Tourism Negeri Selangor untuk melakukan eksplorasi industri kraf di berbagai tempat di negeri itu. Kegiatan ini disebut dengan "Kembara Kraf Negeri Selangor 2013", sebuah program annual yang telah dimulai setahun sebelumnya. Mereka menilai bahwa industri ringan (rumahan) perlu mendapat promosi yang sepadan untuk menjadikan hasil-hasil kebudayaan masyarakat dapat eksis di tengah industri berat yang sudah mapan. Oleh sebab itu, industri kraf telah disokong oleh berbagai dinas, seperti dinas pertanian, dinas pariwisata dan dinas perdagangan. Berbeda dengan kawasan industri berat yang umumnya berpusat pada suatu kompleks industri, kekayaan industri kraf di Selangor tinggal terpencar-pencar di rumah-rumah penduduk atau workshop yang berlokasi di desa-desa. Mereka berkembang sebagai tradisi dan warisan keluarga, dengan sifatnya yang sangat terikat dengan lingkungannya, karena lingkungan tertentu menyediakan bahan murah tertentu yang mereka perlukan. Karena itu, untuk mengunjungi tempat-tempat industri di Negeri Selangor yang luas, para peserta program ini harus melakukan perjalanan yang cukup jauh dari satu tempat ke tempat berikutnya. Itu pula yang menjadi asas penamaan kegiatan ini dengan "pengembaraan" (kembara). Asramael Craft Enterprise Perjalanan kami dimulai dengan mengunjungi Asramael Craft, yaitu industri kerajinan tangan ukiran ulu pedang yang dikelola oleh Encik Ismail B. Ahmad. Lokasinya berada di kawasan Taman Pendamaran Permai, Port Klang Selangor, Darul Ehsan. Di sini, kami diperlihatkan dengan keterampilan tradisional yang dimiliki Ismail dalam mengukir berbagai jenis kayu, kemudian dijadikan sebagai ulu (sarung) parang melayu. Ismail menciptakan motif-motif ulu parang melayu dengan memanfaatkan tradisi leluhurnya, dikombinasi dengan inovasinya sendiri sehingga membentuk aneka citarasa sarung pedang sebagai suvenir atau koleksi bagi yang meminatnya. Sebagian ulu pedang itu juga dapat digunakan secara fungsional untuk kebutuhan sehari-hari. Sarung-sarung pedang itu dibuat dari berbagai macam kayu lokal seperti kemuning, kayu arang, rengas, cendana, ru, kopi dan berbagai jenis lain. Konon, yang paling kuat dan mahal adalah kayu berlian dan kayu ciku. Ciri kayu-kayu yang bagus ini adalah motif alamiahnya yang cantik, kuat dan kasar teksturnya. Cipta Edar Dho Sdn Bhd Masih menggunakan bahan kayu, tempat berikutnya yang kami kunjungi adalah Cipta Edar Dho Sdn Bhd di Batu 13, Puchong. Kerajinan ini memanfaatkan kayu untuk menciptakan rehal, semacam meja kecil untuk tempat meletakkan Al-Quran. Aneka bentuk dan motif rehal ini dikerjakan oleh Encik Zaimy Darus. Bagi yang beragama Islam, tentulah barang ini tak asing lagi. Ketika seseorang membaca Al-Quran sambil duduk bersila di lantai, maka rehal diperlukan sebagai alas kitab suci tersebut. Terkesan sepele, namun tidak bagi Encik Zaimy. Ia memproduksi 3.000 unit rehal per bulan. Pesanannya beredar hingga Amerika, Inggris, Australia dan Brunai. Mahkota Songket Pada hari kedua, perjalanan selanjutnya menuju Mahkota Songket yang beralamat di No. 60, Jalan Ragbi 13/30, Seksyen 13, 40100, Shah Alam, Selangor Darul Ehsan. Di sana, Puan Zaleena telah menunggu kami untuk memamerkan aneka songket selangor yang dikoleksinya. Ia tidak hanya menunjukkan tenunan songket yang telah jadi, tetapi juga menyediakan atraksi pembuatan songket secara langsung oleh para ahlinya. Satu songket selangor bisa memakan waktu pembuatan hingga satu bulan lamanya. Biasanya songket ini dipakai oleh wanita Melayu pada acara-acara yang khusus, terutama bila ada hajatan tradisional. Bila dicermati, songket selangor masih memiliki motif yang berkaitan dengan songket palembang, di mana motif pucuk rebung dan flora mendominasi aksennya. Koleksi songket ini dikombinasi dengan pakaian laki-laki Melayu, yaitu teluk belanga. Paulini Nusantara Sdn Bhd Tidak kalah menarik adalah kunjungan ke Paulini Nusantara, sebuah usaha kerajinan perak yang dikelola oleh Puan Lini di No. 20 Jalan Penyair U 1/44, Tamasya Industrial Park, Shah Alam, Selangor. Di sini kita dapat menyaksikan koleksi perak dengan aneka disain yang sangat halus dan elegan. Di samping itu, Puan Lini juga menyediakan workshop yang dapat diakese langsung oleh para pengunjung sehingga proses pembuatan hiasan perak itu dapat dipelajari, mulai dari peleburan perak, pembuatan cetakan, hingga proses penghalusan. Selain untuk perhiasan kalung, gelang, anting dan pin, Puan Lini juga mengkombinasikan kerajinan perak ini dengan berbagai keperluan yang berkaitan dengan tas tangan, topi, dompet, plakat, dan sebagainya. Tentu saja, koleksi kerajinan tangan dari perak ini memberikan pilihan yang banyak untuk dijadikan sebagai hadiah bagi seseorang, karena selain bernilai hand made, produk mereka cocok dipakai untuk kepentingan fashion. Attitude Planet Art (APA) Lokasinya cukup terpencil, yaitu di kawasan pedesaan, persisnya di Pusat Inkubator, Batu 18, Hulu Langat. Di sini kami menyaksikan Encik Fauzi AB. Majid mendemonstrasikan kebolehannya membuat aneka suvenir dan hiasan dengan menggunakan hasil-hasil pertanian yang tak lagi digunakan. Kerajinan ini memberikan kesempatan bagi para petani untuk memberikan nilai tambah kepada sisa hasil pertaniannya atau berbagai bahan alami yang tersedia di sekitar lingkungannya. Dia bukan hanya menunjukkan kemampuannya, tapi juga memberikan kesempatan kepada para pengunjung untuk belajar langsung di tempat hingga bisa membuat satu benda untuk dibawa pulang oleh masing-masing. Ternyata hasil-hasil pertanian dapat dibuat menjadi aneka bentuk kerajinan sesuai imajinasi kita sendiri. Dan akhirnya sejumlah peserta mendapat buah tangan untuk dibawa pulang, dari hasil kerja tangan sendiri. Tapi yang paling tak mampu terlupakan adalah ketika tuan rumah menjamu kami dengan aneka sajian tradisional melayu, berhubung suasana Lebaran masih tersisa. Salah satu yang spesial adalah tempoyak (gulai yang terbuat dari durian), yang dimasak oleh seorang warga keturunan Jawa. Di desa ini memang terdapat pemukiman Jawa, Kerinci dan Mandailing. Mereka membawa tradisi masakannya ke Selangor dan diadopsi menjadi jajaran masakan tradisional mereka di sana.Pemerintah setempat pun membinanya dan dijadikan sebagai salah satu aspek pariwisata di bidang kuliner. Menyantap masakan-masakan lezat dan spicy ini, kami tidak dibenarkan memakai sendok. "Ini cara Melayu, cara orang kampung, jadi kita harus pakai tangan," ajak tuan rumah sambil menyilakan rombongan kami santap siang dan menutupnya dengan pesta makan buah tropis seperti langsat, rambutan, pisang, manggis, nenas, dan sebagainya. Ketemu Rezeki Maju Perjalanan selanjutnya terasa cukup panjang. Kami memerlukan sekitar 5 jam untuk mencapai kawasan Sepang untuk melewati malam di Golden Palm Tree Resort, sebuah kawasan resort terpadu yang berlokasi di atas permukaan laut. Puas menikmati fasilitas bintang lima ini, keesokan harinya kami menuju industri rumah tangga milik Puan Hajjah Zarina. Dapur keripik milik Puan Hajjah Zarina tergolong sederhana saja, tapi mereka memproduksi keripik ubi yang sangat crispy dengan kemasan yang baik. Sebagian keripik ini diekspor ke luar negeri, termasuk ke Australia. Para pekerja di dapur keripik "Ketemu Rezeki Maju" ini kebanyakan perantau dari Jawa. Keterampilan membuat ubi telah mereka dapatkan sebelumnya di kampung halamannya, tapi dengan manajemen dan pengolahan yang lebih baik, mereka memilih bekerja di Malaysia. Ubi adalah bahan yang mudah tumbuh di Asia Tenggara dan dapat diolah menjadi berbagai macam kebutuhan yang bernilai tinggi. Selain menjadi bahan dasar pembuatan tepung tapioka, keripik ubi juga telah dikenal lama oleh masyarakat Melayu sebagai kudapan yang menyenangkan. Pak Lang Ngah Kraf Masih di kawasan Sepang, selepas makan siang yang hangat di Banghuris Homestay, Kampung Hulu Chucoh, kami tiba di Pak Lang Ngah Kraf. Pemiliknya adalah Pak Lang Ngah sendiri. Ia membuat kerajinan yang berbahan dasar kelapa, mulai dari pohon, bunga dan buahnya. Kebetulan workshop-nya memang tidak jauh dari lokasi pantai yang ditandai dengan banyaknya pohon kelapa. Dari bagian-bagian pohon kelapa, Pak Ngah menciptakan benda-benda unik untuk berbagai keperluan, mulai dari dolanan anak hingga peralatan rumah tangga. Di antaranya adalah sarang lampu dari batok kelapa, sendok nasi, hiasan, helmet dan berbagai aksesoris. Dengan berakhirnya kunjungan ke Pak Lang Ngah, maka berakhir pulalah program Kembara Kraf Selangor 2013. Menurut Assistant Director di Selangor State Secretary Office, Puan Farah Liyana, program Kembara Kraf Selangor yang diadakan sebagai agenda tetap tahunan merupakan upaya terus menerus Pemerintah Negeri Selangor untuk mempromosikan industri-industri kerajinan yang masih mempertahankan ciri khas daerahnya. "Ini merupakan langkah untuk memberikan stimulasi kepada para pelaku kraf, khususnya yang masih berkaitan dengan tradisi lokal di Selangor Darul Ehsan. Kerajaan memberikan dukungan penuh kepada para pembuat kraf karena mereka juga dapat memberikan sentuhan yang berbeda kepada industri pariwisata. Dengan program ini, kami berharap tradisi kami dapat bertahan dan eksis di antara industri yang lain," kata Farah. Meskipun berdekatan dan berbatasan langsung hampir 360 derajat, Negeri Selangor memang menyimpan sumber daya alam yang berbeda dengan Kuala Lumpur. Selangor memiliki keunggulan sumber daya alam perkampungan di pedalaman dan pesisir, dan di setiap kawasan itu berkembang tradisi yang khas karena adaptasi penduduk dengan lingkungannya. Dan salah satu tradisi yang berkembang adalah kemampuan mereka untuk menciptakan kerajinan yang khas sesuai dengan ketersediaan bahan baku di sekitarnya. Meskipun demikian, Shah Alam sebagai ibukota Selangor juga berkembang dengan arah budaya kotanya. Sejumlah tujuan wisata moderen tumbuh di berbagai sudut kota itu. Salah satu yang terbaru adalah kompleks I-City yang menyediakan aneka kegiatan, koleksi, permainan, museum dan taman yang menghibur keluarga di dalam satu kompleks terpadu. Program yang turut mendapat kerjasama Majlis Antarabangsa Festival dan Pertubuhan Kesenian Rakyat (CIOFF) itu bertujuan mempromosi Petaling Jaya, Selangor dan Malaysia amnya sebagai destinasi pelancongan bertaraf antarabangsa, berdaya huni, memiliki ciri persekitaran baik, di samping aktiviti menarik. Datuk Bandar MBPJ, Datin Paduka Alinah Ahmad, berkata tema kesenian rakyat diangkat selaras dengan elemen dan hala tuju utama Petaling Jaya Sejahtera 2030 iaitu budaya dan komuniti, masyarakat harmoni, selamat dan prihatin. Beliau berkata, 14 buah negara akan terbabit untuk memeriahkan festival berkenaan yang akan dilancarkan secara besar-besaran di Jalan Yong Shook Lin, Pusat Bandar Seksyen 52, di sini, pada 20 Jun ini. "Antara negara yang akan mengambil bahagian adalah Jepun, Korea Selatan, Mesir, Senegal, Kenya, Filipina, Thailand, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Indonesia, Nigeria, Iran, Ghana dan India. "Manakala, penyertaan dalam negara pula membabitkan Selangor, Melaka, Sarawak, Kelantan, Perak dan Negeri Sembilan. "Penganjuran festival ini juga bersempena dengan sambutan ulang tahun kelapan bandar raya Petaling Jaya serta Tahun Melawat Malaysia 2014," katanya pada Mesyuarat Penuh Majlis di ibu pejabat MBPJ, dekat sini, hari ini. It's one of the best places on the globe with delicious cuisine and hospitable people. Kuala Lumpur is its capital with charming iconic Petronas Twin Towers. Malaysia has many offshore geographical places. There would be around 510 which include ridges, sandbank and rocks. It's a multicultural state with many festivals and celebrations. Tour to Malaysia, is really a unique and pleasant experience. There're lots of choices to stay in Malaysia, so it's tough to decide where to stay?
